HOT SPRINGS AREA ATTRACTIONS

HOT SPRINGS NATIONAL PARK

The Ouachita Mountains in west-central Arkansas are a place of wonder where silica-rich water and a little bit of luck created some of the world’s largest and finest deposits of quartz crystals. Unlike other mountain ranges in North America, which run north to south, the Ouachita Mountains run east to west, stretching 225 miles from central Arkansas to eastern Oklahoma. The quartz occurs in a narrow belt about 30 miles wide and 170 miles long, but the clearest points and the largest clusters are found in the mountains surrounding Hot Springs. Specimens from nearby mines have made their way to museums, galleries, and private collections all around the world, so come on down and discover the magic of mining for yourself!

MR. WHISKERS

I saw Mr Whiskers on Trip Advisor and we decided to give it a visit, and we were glad we did. The location is great, very clean property, plenty of lighting in parking lot, going inside the restaurant is inviting, very clean, you order from the menu first then find your seat, which is the best way to operate in my opinion, keeps things moving for the business end of a restaurant. The menu is easy to read, prices are more than affordable and the star of the show is the FOOD!!! the Catfish are fresh, as if you caught and cleaned them to the table and the staff works hand in hand to deliver your food in a timely manner. The Fish, Fries, and Hushpuppies were FIVE Star, quality and cooked to perfection. You cannot possibly leave hungry. The cook area was super clean, and the staff kept the tables clean very quickly. We also saw others with Hamburgers, Chicken strips, and BBQ, it all looked great. We will be back on our next visit to the area.

THE PANCAKE SHOP
